Little Magical Moments

Happy fall! How are you?  What have you been up to these last few months?

This fall has been a busy one here in our household.  Maddie and Jonathan are back in school – with tons of school and non-school related activities.

I’m teaching yoga full-time and sharing Reiki, which is great, and finishing up a wonderful yoga teacher training program that I’m so grateful to be a part of.  But I’ve been doing a lot of homework, which is why I haven’t been writing as much.

Given all that, it’s been challenging to feel spontaneous and playful. “The schedule” really outlines are every moment. That said, we’ve been trying to pepper sweet moments into our busy schedules:  apple picking, dinners here and there with friends, outdoor movie nights in our backyard, Saturday family movie and dessert nights, reading, picking our pumpkins and mums to decorate the house for fall.

I say this not to brag or boast but as a reminder that life is busy, and unless we consciously schedule in the things that are sweet and meaningful to us, it can feel like a grind.  The big moments of life, like trips and weddings, and graduations are amazing and magical, for sure, but I think the little moments in between  - the walk with a friend, hot chocolate in the middle of the week, a spontaneous dance party at bedtime -  really add up to most of the magic. They’re the glue (glitter glue, of course) that holds our day-to-day together and restores our sense of joy and fulfillment.

So, what little magical moments are you putting into your life today; this week; this month; this season?   What memories can you create today that you will hold dearly in your heart to remind yourself of the fullness of life?  Email me and let me know!

Check out my classes here and let's move together!
