Feel Great Feet

This month in our classes, we have been focusing on our feet: how can we create stronger, more mobile feet that support us better and allow us to move with more ease?
I've noticed in my own yoga and movement practices that I focus on my thigh and hip muscles, on my back, on my arms and shoulders, but I don't really consciously do things to strengthen my feet and ankles on a regular basis. So, this month's foot-focus has felt so nourishing to my feet and calves, which are pretty tight. It's also made me aware of some of my habits, like gripping with my toes, rolling onto the outer edges of my feet, even settling my weight into one foot (and hip) more than the other.
Show your feet some love this month and try out this practice. And just so you know, I've got more practices coming your way to help your feet stay feeling great, despite being shoved into winter boots!
