A Big, Heartfelt Thanks to You

The picture above is of all the gratitude journals we have filled over the past 8 or 9 years. In looking through them, I’m amazed that most of the entries are of the seemingly small everyday things like
- Heat on a cold day
- Air conditioning on a hot day
- Dry, warm socks and shoes
- Clean sheets
- A Yummy meal with J & M
- My family and their love and support
- Safe travels on a yucky day
It’s not to say that I’m not grateful for the bigger things like a vacation or overcoming some family health challenges – I am, and they are definitely represented in those journals. But it’s those small , everyday things that keep showing up again and again, and with good reason. Acknowledging them helps me to not take them for granted and reminds me of how fortunate I am that I do have a warm, safe home, food in my belly, that we are healthy. It keeps me present and humble, and shifts me from feelings of lack to feeling full in my heart.
Along with the above list was another “frequent flyer” – that of my gratitude for the folks who come to class and my ability to teach and share this practice of yoga and mindful movement that I love so dearly. I feel so incredibly fortunate and grateful that I get to do this work.
Thank you, dear reader for reading these notes and thousands of eblasts, for coming to classes over the years, and for being a part of our community in whatever way you are. I’m enormously grateful for you!!
Join me for classes - the schedule is here - we'd love to have you!
