It has been officially one year since we left NYC and arrived in Northampton. While it has been filled with ups and downs, challenges and joys, we are beginning to settle into new rhythms and schedules, and are finding new communities of friends and colleagues. For all of that we are so grateful.
The first few months we were here, we felt very isolated - very alone - and very confused as to why we decided to move. In January of 2014, Jonathan and I decided to begin a gratitude journal. Every night before going to bed, we committed to writing down at least one thing we were grateful for that day. It didn't have to be anything big: even simply acknowledging we were grateful for a warm bed to crawl into after a long, stressful day was enough to keep our hearts open and keep us in the present. Before we knew it, that one thing was turning into 3 or 4 things. Despite having some really rough days, we always found something to be grateful for. And, in looking back at some of my entries, many of them had to do with having the incredible support and connection to our Yoga Bliss and Reiki Bliss community.
So for that, dear friends, I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to be a part of my life despite, for some of us, the many miles between us. I'm so grateful for your presence, encouragement, kindness and support.
