Side bends to help you breathe

How did last week go? Were you able to practice something every day?

It's less about making 60 + minutes of practice the priority and more about making yourself the priority. So if 5 minutes is all you have , then make yourself and your well-being the priority for those 5 minutes, and really be fully present with yourself and your experience for those 5 minutes!

Today's asana practice focuses on side bends, which feel so delicious, especially because we rarely move that way during our day-to-day activities. Unlike forward bends which open up the back body, which in yoga is linked to our past, or backbends, which open up the front body, often linked to our future, side bends open up the side body, which I think connects us to the present as we are neither moving forward nor back.
