Reiki Self Care

As you know, Reiki has become a very important practice and a growing part of my life.  I find it incredibly soothing, peaceful, and centering,  especially before I fall asleep.  But, I also call on it during the day when I feel stressed or disconnected. 

Here is a simple practice you can do anywhere that will help you reconnect with yourself and the world around you.

  
  • Close your eyes.
  • Take a deep breath in and out.
  • Rub your hands vigorously together to create some heat - take a moment to feel the heat and energy you've created.
  • Place your hands one on top of the other on your heart center.
  • Center your attention in your heart center and the way your hands feel on your heart.
  • Let the warmth of your hands soften your heart.
  • Envision any tightness or gripping loosening and releasing.
  • Remind yourself to live and act from your heart!
