Beth’s Self-Care Menu

Making well-being a priority

 

Daily: 

·         yoga (60-90 minutes every morning)

·         meditation (10 minutes every morning - I’m adding this in a more committed and specific way this fall, rather than just lumping it into my yoga time)

·         running (3 days/week)

·         reiki self-care practice (every night, even if I fall asleep doing it)

·         long, before-bed showers

·         reading (10 minutes before bed)

·         writing in my gratitude journal (every night before bed)

·         working on not working after 9pm so I can get 7 hours of sleep each night

 

Once a week (twice if I can):

·         movie/TV nights with Jonathan on the couch with some yummy dessert

·         my own restorative yoga practice

·         working on getting to a weekly class – be it yoga or other physical activity where someone else is in charge

·         working on consistently unplugging one day a week

 

Bigger ticket:

·         working on once a month date-nights with Jonathan

·         working on a vacation for next year

·         working on a  combination of reiki, massage, chiropractic sessions  - one of which would happen each month

·         working on taking a course or a retreat  - just for me

·         baking – at least once a month

·         getting hair cuts and maintaining my purple hair on a more regular basis J

·         getting back into theatre/dance/music…
