Reiki is a mind-body practice where we use light touch on or off the body to help release the everyday tension and stress that we carry around with us. Reiki sessions can help support the body with its own ability to heal. Receiving Reiki regularly can help you to improve your overall well-being and set up the environment for healing to occur – physically, mentally and emotionally.
One of the wonderful things about Reiki is that it complements other wellness modalities. Since there are no contraindications, anyone can receive Reiki safely.
As a Reiki practitioner, I guide and support you in experiencing the rest and ease you need. When we are constantly in a state of stress, we don’t have the inner resources to draw upon for wellness, wholeness and healing. Reiki can help you feel restored and replenished and better able to deal with life’s demands.
A traditional Reiki session is done fully clothed on a massage table. Depending on your needs, a light touch on or off the body will be used to help release energy blocks and move you toward a state of deep rest and a feeling of wholeness.
In addition to traditional Reiki sessions, I offer a combination of Restorative Yoga & Reiki sessions. Like Reiki, Restorative Yoga is a powerful tool that helps restore balance and wellness to the body’s systems.
During these sessions, you will be lying on yoga mats in various reclining yoga poses, with your body supported by blankets, yoga blocks and yoga straps. The purpose of the supports is to relieve the muscles and bones of any work or stress. From there you will be guided through some simple, calming breathing practices. As you relax into each supported pose, I will share Reiki with you. It’s the ultimate double shot of rest and relaxation.
Reiki by itself or with Restorative Yoga can help you reduce anxiety, pain, stress, and better manage tension, depression, and grief. While many people experience Reiki’s benefits after only one session, my experience is that regular sessions may be best, especially if you are working through a chronic issue.
